
Dubai Recommendatons
This page outlines some things that Dubai has to offer that we can recommend doing during your stay. It's not exhaustive, of course, but it will give you a great starting point for things to do, and will give you a great mix of activities and places to make your trip as worthwhile as possible.

Burj Khalifa Fountains Boat Ride

The best way to see the world's tallest building - the stunning Burj Khalifa - and experience the beautiful fountains show (the largest choreographed fountain show in the world!) is by traditional boat. Show's happen every 30 minutes every evening (not daytime). Tickets need to be booked in advance.

Aquaventure Waterpark

This waterpark, situated at the top of the Palm Jumeirah, holds the world record for most amount of waterslides - over 50! It's all part of the iconic Atlantis The Palm and the new Atlantis The Royal. It's an absolute must for anyone visiting Dubai!

Hotel Day Passes

Almost all of the luxury Hotels in Dubai offer day passes for visitors to go and enjoy all the facilities the hotel has to offer with their families - including pools, private beaches, gyms, spas and kids clubs. Usually, some or all of the cost is redeemable in food and drinks vouchers.
Best to book direct with the hotel, but here is a good place to look first
Legoland & Dubai Parks

Legoland and waterpark, Real Madrid World, Motiongate, Riverland and Neon Galaxy. All in the one area, and it's just 20min drive from the apartment. An absolute dream for the kids! It's expensive but worth it if the kids love a rollercoaster and good bit of lego!

E-Scooters around the Marina

Download the Lime app, or Dott (Bolt) app on your phone, and get scooting! All around the Marina and surrounding areas you can find these scooters. Usually there's some right outside the apartment doors. Then ride around the 7km of waterfront promenade, over and under bridges, and of course stopping for a few refreshments along the way! In the daytime or the evening, this is a must do. So much fun!

Zipline over the Marina

The world's longest urban zipline! Fly over the Marina at speed on the exhilarating adventure. Not for the faint hearted, but the view and experience is incredible!

The Gold Souk in Old Dubai

Take yourself back in time and visit Old Dubai and the world famous Gold Souks. Lots of incredible things to look at, and a very different experience to the usual luxury of Dubai. Located at the opposite end of town, around 30mins taxi from the apartment.

Desert Safari, Camels & BBQ

There are literally hundreds of companies offering this experience, and you can see why. This is another must-do when in Dubai. You'll be picked up from your apartment and driven to the desert, stop for some quad biking and camel riding on the way, get some sunset photos on the dunes, ride some sand boards, and then arrive at camp for a BBQ dinner and live entertainment. Quite cheap for what you get. Can be around £30-£50pp. But more if you want to sleep in the desert too!

La Perle Show

This is an incredible show, inspired by the Cirque Du Soleil. Amazing acrobatic performances, stage lighting shows and water effects. Good for all the family.

Yacht Boat Hire

Charter a boat, whatever the size, from 2 people to 200 people! 1 to 3 hours, cruise around the Marina and then out past Jumeirah Beach and around the famous Palm Jumeriah, to take in the Atlantis Hotel and Burj Al Arab.
Loads of companies offering this, all along the Marina, so it is quite reasonably priced.
Xclusive probably have the largest fleet. But shop around and haggle for a good deal.
Dubai Mall Aquarium

Dubai Mall is a crazy place, loads of things to see, and you'll probably get lost! But the aquarium is a great thing to go and check out. The large front is free to view from the mall itself, but if you want to walk through inside it's about £40pp

JBR The Walk

JBR beach is the largest most popular public beach in Dubai, and is lined from either end with restaurants, cafes, hotels and beach and watersports activities. Great for the daytime for lounging and enjoying the water, and lovely in the evening to see the lights and grab some grub.

Global Village

This is a sensory overload of the best kind! Open from 4pm every day it is a collection of
It's only about £5 to get in, and some shows are free to enjoy, but rides and experiences are chargeable. Stroll around and enjoy each themed 'country' area with all it's relevant stalls and experiences.
There's laser shows and dance performances, as well as food stalls, restaurants and market stalls from around the world.

Chaos Karts

This is awesome for any age! Just like Mario Kart, race around the light-up track, which changes every few minutes. Pick up shells, bananas and bombs, and beat your opponents using your interactive steering wheel, not just speed. Well worth it for a unique bit of fun!

Umm Suqeim Public Beach

A lesser known beach, much quieter than JBR and only a couple of small cafes, but a lovely vibe. Beautiful sand and great views over the stunning Burj Al Arab. There's even a sectioned off surfing area here.

Oli Oli Children's Play Museum

The best place for pre-teens of all ages. Loads of cool stuff for them to play on, interact with and just release all that energy! Great for if you need a break from the heat as it's indoors.

Aura Sky Pool - Adults only

The very best views of the Palm Jumeirah and surrounding areas. The world's highest 360 degree infinity pool is 200 metres in the air and of course very popular, so needs to be booked in advance. Choose your time slot and your direction of view and then relax in the sky!

Lunch on top of The Address JBR

The views and the food are equally incredible here at Zeta Seventy Seven. Located at the top of The Address hotel at the bottom end of the Marina and JBR, this restaurant/bar sits on the 77th floor and features the world's highest outdoor infinity pool. Asian fusion cuisine mixed with incredible cocktails and amazing views - what's not to love! Approx £100pp minimum spend, and either sit by the pool or at the bar/restaurant. Adults only.
